What Are Locator and Player?

Introduction to DCRS Locator and Player

DCRS locator and player provide broad ranges of features and functions for suiting any type of users.  When performing voice replay, users can use standard play functions such as Play, Pause, Resume, ... and they may use professional play functions such as Partial Loop Play, MonCtrl (replaying the earlier portion of an onging phone call), or CyclePlay (playing calls of pre-selected channels in one after another and roundabout basis).

When playing voice archives, some users may further want to listen the voices received from several different input sources for reconstructing an event in entirety.  MCPlayer (Multi-Channel Player) is supplied for this purpose, giving users the option of playing up to 8-channel voices in chronological order.  By default, MCPlayer maintains the silent periods between recordings during playback. That is, if an incident involving 6-channel recordings occurred over a 15-minute period, then it will take 15 minutes to playback the recordings even though the actual recordings may only be several minutes or seconds each. If desired, the MCPlayer can alternately be set to skip over these silent periods between recordings.

DCRS Integrated Locator and Player

By default every DCRS-9900 and DCRS-8000 has an integrated locator and player.  With the live monitor support, users can sit in front of the call recorder monitor screen visualizing status of all available channels including "idle" or "call in progress" and use the mouse to conveniently monitor call conversations of any of the call progressing channels instantly.

With the call-graph interface, users can search and play back immediately what was the last call or what were the calls 2 years ago.  With the SClient, users can search vast number of calls using desired search criteria such as date, time, channel, agent name, Caller ID, dialed number and etc and initiate voice replay directly from search result screen.

DCRS Client, SClient and CASClient

When a desktop or notebook PC is having DCRS Client software installed and configured, it is referred as a DCRS Client. With DCRS Client, users can login any of available DCRS-9900 / DCRS-8000 voice logger in the same computer network to silently visualize the status of all available channels such as idle or recording. If required, the users can quiely monitor a live conversation, or enter into the call-graph play screen playing back their selected voice archives. The users can further remotely configure the call recorder if necessary.

When a desktop or notebook PC is having SClient software package installed and configured, it is referred as SClient. With SClient, users can login any of available DCRS-9900 / DCRS-8000 voice logger or BestLink in the same computer network. After login, users are free to input a number of criteria for querying vast amount of call-related information records. Out from the formatted search result table, users have a list of choice including to play back for various calls, to convert calls to MP3 or WAV format, or to export call-related information records in their mind to the Excel.

CASClient has same characteristic as SClient and provides almost same features as SClient too, but is strictly for working in conjunction with CAServer. Therefore CASClient is useful only when Central Archiving solution is being in use.

DCRS Web Browser-based Client

With the support of DCRS Web module, users can live monitor calls or play back calls archives via a web browser such as Internet Explorer.  Since users can just use a web browser to remotely logon DCRS-9900, DCRS-8000 or BestLink, there is no need for conventional client software installed on the user's PC.  For naming simplicity this browser-based solution is referred to DCRS Web Client.
